Social Fretwork

Volunteer – daily prompt

  Bullets don't whip or crack and they certainly don't whistle. You never hear the one that hits you but when they're flying, you know they're there. They're like hot metal hailstones and they can hit you anywhere, hiding in a hole or around a corner. And I'm here, a volunteer?
