When I wrote, ‘the weather can change five times, in five minutes’ in Mayo (https://dermotthayes.com/2016/05/27/still-water-write-photo/), I wasn’t joking, as you’ll see from this sequence of shots, taken, one bright, sunny, no ,cloudy, no, misty, it’s going to rain, rain? those are feckin’ hailstones, day on Blacksod Bay, north County Mayo. Run.

      • I used to think it was just the Irish talked about the weather until I started blogging. Nope, the British, Americans, Canadians, Australians do the same – oh wait a minute – that’s where we all emigrated to, lol. 🙂 Strangely, the weather is not such an important topic for other European bloggers, I reckon there’s not enough of us there – yet.

      • There’s another thing about the Irish and the weather; one bad summer and they invent a new season, a hint of sunshine and they’re stripped naked, burning and peeling, and they won’t give ground to a tourist, if they complain about the rain. Oh no, soft day, they’ll say, while bitching amongst themselves
